Privacy policy

Last updated 6 November 2026

Milo is a voice assistant for your Gmail and Google Calendar. You talk to it, and it reads, replies to and organises your email and manages your calendar for you. This page explains what data Milo uses, why, and how you stay in control of it.

What we access

How we use it

We use your data only to provide the features you ask for in Milo: answering your questions, taking the actions you request, and keeping your email search up to date. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to build profiles about you.

AI processing

To understand your request and write a reply, the relevant parts of your email and calendar (for example, today's events or the emails that match your question) are sent to our AI providers, Groq (and Google Gemini as a backup, if enabled). They process it only to produce the answer for you. We use these providers under terms that do not allow them to use your data to train their models.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Milo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

What we store, and for how long

Security

All connections use HTTPS. Your Google sign-in is encrypted before it is stored, sign-in sessions are protected cookies, and each person can only ever access their own data.

Your choices

Children

Milo is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your Google data, we'll ask for your permission again before using it in the new way.
